We know food waste can harm the environment (and put a hole in our wallet). But there’s a green trend that helps reduce it. Upcycling food is the process of using ingredients that would otherwise be thrown out. Amanda’s pro tip: “Upcycle vegetable and herb scraps by freezing them until you have enough to make a homemade broth. Or save your leftover vegetables, protein and herbs from the week for Friday night pizza toppings.”
