All-National Musician a Seaford First

Seaford High School has had its share of accomplished student-musicians, but senior Angela Dean has raised the bar to new heights. She is Seaford’s first student ever selected to an All-National honor ensemble.

Angela will play the trombone as a member of the All-National symphony orchestra at the virtual music conference from Jan. 22-24, hosted by the National Association for Music Education. She will join student-musicians from across the country in the highly-selective group.

Music department chairman Dr. Anthony Romeo said that being selected to an All-National ensemble is the highest honor for a high school student-musician. Dr. Romeo and Christopher Coniglio have served as Angela’s band directors for the past four years.

Angela is a member of Seaford High School’s concert band, jazz band, field show band, marching band, pep band, symphonic band, pit orchestra and Tri-M Music Honor Society. She has also been selected to New York State School Music Association’s All-State conference in December.
