Seaford High School Spotlights Courses and Clubs

Seaford High School’s course catalog came to life on Jan. 16, as students and parents were able to learn about the wealth of classes offered during the third annual Curriculum Fair. There was a table for each department where teachers and students shared information about various programs.

The fair was open to eighth graders through high school juniors as they prepare to make course selections for the 2020-21 school year. They could ask about core and elective classes in art, business, English, math, music, physical education, science, social studies, technology and world languages. Additionally, a club fair was set up in the cafeteria which showcased the many extracurricular activities.

Principal Scott Bersin said that when the idea for the Curriculum Fair was born a few years ago, “we had high hopes that it would help our students and families understand the academic program and pathways of our school as they begin to choose courses for the coming school year. At this point, with it now involving special presentations for programs such as AP Capstone and Science Research, a student clubs and activities fair, a ping pong tournament and coinciding with our eighth grade student-parent winter orientation, it has become one of the most important and exciting evenings at Seaford High School."
