     The Seaford High School PE department's goal is to promote safe and healthy physical activity that focuses on lifelong fitness, teamwork, problem solving and character. We are excited to develop new units, games, and activities so that our students have the opportunity to be active while having fun during their school day. Students will have the option to choose an elective in many of their units in order to foster more enthusiastic participation throughout the year.

    2019-2020 Units:

    UNIT 1 (9/12 - 9/27) 100pts: Tchoukball, Ultimate Frisbee, or Football

     

     

     

    UNIT 2 (10/2 - 10/23) 120pts: Team Handball, Soccer, or Striking/Fielding Games

     ** Mental Health Lesson 1 will be taught during PE classes on October 24th and 25th. We will not be changing for class these days. Please check the charts posted outside the gym to find your classroom for that period.**

     

    UNIT 3 (10/28 - 11/15) 120pts: Broomball, Circus Arts, or Turf Games

    Grading is based on the following categories:

    • Attendance
    • Preparation for class (proper attire, on time)

    *If you have a doctor's note or a note from the nurse to be out of PE for a short period of time, please bring the PINK slip to your PE teacher and pick up the article worksheet before going to the library. Each article is graded out of 20 points (to match your daily class points)

    There are a variety of magazines to choose from in the library, or you can find an article to summarize from an online source. Each class you are medically exempt, you must bring your article w/s back to your teacher at the 5-minute bell.
