Standout Vikings Commit to College Teams
A Seaford High School record 24 senior athletes are committed to play at the collegiate level next year, and they were recognized at a signing ceremony on May 4. They represent nine different sports and will be attending colleges both near and far.
Kevin Witt, director of physical education, health and athletics, commended the athletes and introduced coaches who shared high praise for each student. They highlighted the impressive stats of every athlete as well as the characteristics that have made them exemplary Vikings.
“Remember what you learned here — know that putting your best foot forward and working as hard as you can is going to lead you in the right direction,” Mr. Witt said. “You have a great support system, so depend on that. I'm very confident you're all going to land in a very good spot.”
The signing ceremony was held in partnership with the Seaford Booster Club, which festively decorated the gymnasium. Tied to each athlete’s chair were balloons representing the colors of the schools they will be attending.
