Salutations for Seaford’s Spirited Scholars
The hustle and bustle returned to Seaford’s four schools on Sept. 3, as the start of the 2024-2025 school year capped 10 weeks of summer vacation.
Two buildings welcomed new principals – Joann Krudis at Seaford Manor Elementary School and Dr. Raphael Morey at Seaford Middle School. Each spent much of the day visiting classrooms and getting to know their new students.
Seaford High School opened the year with informational workshops for students. After nine 25-minute periods – enough time for students to meet their teachers and learn a little about each class – it was time for the breakout sessions. Each grade rotated among the four workshops, which included a situational awareness presentation from Nassau County Police Department’s Homeland Security division, technology tips, informational meetings with guidance counselors and Seaford Scholars-themed team-building activities.
Keeping a Seaford traditional alive, seniors wore their Class of 2025 shirts and gathered at the end of the day for a group picture.
