Hello everyone. I am the school social worker for Seaford Middle School. In this role, I provide individual and group counseling as well as crisis intervention for students in crisis. I also have contact with parents, either when they have concerns or if a staff member or I have concerns for their child. In addition, I also conduct SADD (students against destructive decisions) meetings once a week, during lunch periods, for all grades. I am the coordinator for the Beautiful Me Program, which is a self-esteem program, offered through The Hance Foundation, for all of our 8th grade girls. For all of our parents throughout the Seaford School District, along with the other 2 school social workers in our district, I conduct monthly parent workshops, Coffee and Conversation, held in the Middle School. We focus on various topics, on topics parents are dealing with or want information about.
In addition, as part of the student support staff, we conduct push-in lessons for our 6th graders. We have specific topics on a monthly basis on topics relevant to our 6th graders.
I also research and put together many of our assembly programs for Red Ribbon Week, Unity Day and other assembly programs on other topics.
If you need to get in touch with me for any reason, I can be reached at 516-592-4271. My e-mail is email@example.com.
