TRACT is looking for instructors and new classes for 2016-2017.

Have an idea for a course or workshop?  
We are looking for courses or workshops based on the results of the needs assessment. Please see details below.

Send TRACT a course or workshop title, brief course description, dates, time, location, and standards* met for course or workshop course.
Classes should begin after mid-October.  A course must be 15 hours. Instructors determine dates, times and obtain locations.        
Workshops can be 5 hours in length.

Most classes are held from 4:00 pm -7:00 pm once a week for 5 weeks, but you may determine your own schedule. A course can run throughout the length of a school year if desired.

*Course offerings must reflect NYS  Common Core standards.
Needs Assessment Results - Topics
integrating CCLS into the content area, utilizing reading strategies for the struggling reader, writing in the content area, Smartboard instruction, webpage design, incorporating apps and internet into webpages, school wires and SmartNotebook, differentiated instruction, utilizing student data to inform instruction,  classroom management, critical thinking skills, motivating the reluctant learner, learning theory and brain based learning, implementing co-teaching strategies, modifying curriculum, working with at risk students, mindfulness in the classroom and understanding neurologically based development disorders.
