The first social and emotional learning presentation of the year focused on creating a positive learning community at Seaford Manor Elementary School. Throughout September, social worker Jennifer DeMieri and psychologist Lindsay Friedman met with each grade level for meaningful dialogue with students. 

The Seaford School District is proud to announce that The Association for Middle Level Education has named Seaford Middle School as a 2026 School of Distinction. Only 39 schools internationally received this designation this year, including three on Long Island.  

Fifth graders at Seaford Harbor Elementary School are ready to read. On Sept. 9, students in each class took part in a book tasting to inform their reading choices for the next several weeks. 

From the large American flag draped from a Seaford Fire Department ladder truck to the field of flags on the front lawn to the miniature flags clutched in hands, there was a strong showing of unity and patriotism at Seaford High School on Sept. 11 as more than 1,000 people came together to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.  

Seaford High School senior Meridith Goldberger has been actively involved in student life and is adding another title to her resumé.

August turned into September, and that meant the start of a new school year in Seaford. More than 2,100 students arrived on the morning of Sept. 1 at the high school, middle school and two elementary schools, ready for a year of learning ahead.
