Curriculum and Assessment

Welcome to the Seaford Union Free School District K-12 Curriculum and Assessment site!

This site offers a comprehensive overview of our instructional programs and is continuously being updated to ensure you have the most current information about curriculum and assessment from our District and the New York State Education Department (NYSED). We view our school community members as essential partners in the educational journey and welcome your ongoing engagement and feedback.

Curriculum refers to the comprehensive framework of instructional content, learning experiences, and educational objectives. It includes a carefully planned sequence of subjects, topics, and skills to be taught at each grade level, along with the methods, resources, and assessments used to facilitate and evaluate instruction. Each curriculum is designed to align with New York State Learning Standards, serving as a roadmap for educators to effectively guide teaching and learning in line with state educational goals. Curriculum development is an ongoing process as we continually seek to improve and incorporate the latest standards and research-based pedagogical practices.

Please contact the Curriculum and Assessment Office if you have any questions.
