Mr. Spreckels graduated from Manhattan College in 1998 with a Bachelors degree in Athletic Training/Physical Education and received his Masters Degree in Physical Education from Hofstra University in 2002. He completed an Advanced Certificate Degree in Educational Leadership at Stony Brook University in 2011. He has been teaching Physical Education in the Seaford School District since 2003 and has served as the district athletic trainer since 2001. He is a New York State Education Department Instructor for the Coaching Certification Program, CPR/AED and First Aid Instructor. He is a member of the Seaford School District Safety Committee, Wellness Committee, Cardiac Emergency Response Team (CERT), Athletic Leadership Committee, National Association of Sport and Physical Education (NASPE); American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (AAHPERD); and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). He is a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC); Licensed New York State Athletic Trainer; New York State Emergency Medical Technician; Certified American Red Cross Instructor; and studying to become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.Recently, he has served as the Director of Athletic for the Seaford School District from 2016 until 2018 and has since returned to his athletic trainer/physical education teacher position.
