Mr. Nicholas Coacci
Mr. Coacci has been teaching in the Seaford School District since 2019. His musical journey started here at the Seaford School District, where he began playing clarinet in the 4th grade at the Manor Elementary School. Mr. Coacci switched to bass clarinet in 6th grade up until 9th grade, when he was given the opportunity to take up tenor saxophone after joining the Seaford High School Marching Band. He has performed in many Seaford Ensembles, including the Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, Marching Band, Pep Band, Honors Chorale and small chamber ensembles. He also served as the High School Marching Band Drum Major. Mr. Coacci earned his Bachelors in Music Education at Hofstra University in 2018 and a Masters in Music Education in 2021. During his time at Hofstra, Mr. Coacci performed in both the Hofstra University Concert Band under the direction of Dr. Jim McCrann and Wind Ensemble under the direction of Dr. Peter Boonshaft. He also kick started the Hofstra University Clarinet Ensemble, which still provides students with enrichment opportunities today.
Mr. Coacci is a proud Alumni of the Seaford School District and a strong advocate for music education. He aims to give his students the same life-long memories and unique enrichment opportunities that he received while he was a student.

Ms. Amanda Ferguson
Ms. Ferguson has a Bachelor of Music from The University of Delaware (with a major in Voice/Music Education and a minor in Psychology) and Masters degrees from Queens College (Music Education) and Adelphi (Social Work). Before coming to Seaford in 2002, she taught Basic Music, Music Theory, and Chorus at Sacred Heart Academy in Hempstead. She maintained a private voice studio for ten years, and she is a certified NYSSMA voice adjudicator. In addition, she loves to arrange choral music for her groups.
Ms. Ferguson lives with a brilliant human child who is in middle school as well as two shelter cats that she adopted for $10 each. Gabriel Spirit Ferguson is white with brown tabby spots whose "Warrior Cats" name is Spotted Breeze. Ringo Rocco Joey Ron Ferguson is a brown tabby with white spots and a squishy face. Both cats were a huge bargain (2 for $20), and Ms. Ferguson didn't even meet Ringo until she took him out of the carrier at home.
Ms. Ferguson's family of origin is spread out in all corners of the country, but she has a very happy home with her Seaford family. She felt moved to work with middle schoolers after hearing how much they were capable of at NYSSMA festivals. Even on tougher days, she is still in awe that she gets paid to listen to and support your wonderful, bright, silly, and talented children.
