Photography 1 is an introductory course in black and white photography. This course is intended for those students who are interested in learning about photography with or without prior knowledge. Photography 1 is the predecessor to Photography 2 that focuses on digital means for capturing, manipulating, and outputting images. The course provides students with the basic mechanics of taking pictures, manual processing, and displaying of photographs. This hands-on course will a number of projects that progressively builds your knowledge of the subject area.
Grading in this course will be determined in the following manner:
- 40% Written Assessments
- 20% Satisfactory Completion of Virtual Learning Activities
- 20% Satisfactory Completion of In-Class Learning Activities
- 10% Overall Participation
