Mrs. Kaplan and Mrs.Sourgoutsis

Dear Class 3-3 Students & Families,

We hope this letter finds you well and enjoying the final days of your summer.  Our names are Mrs. Kaplan and Mrs. Sourgoutsis and we thrilled to announce that we are going to be your third-grade teachers this year! We are really looking forward to starting this year’s journey with you and watching you learn, grow, and have a fantastic time in third grade!

Introducing Mrs. Kaplan: Hi everyone! This will be my 19th year teaching at the magnificent Seaford Manor! I completed my student teaching at the Manor, then became the permanent substitute, taught 4th and 5th grades, and I can’t wait to start my 2nd year in the amazing 3rd grade! I have been married to my husband for 30 years and have 2 beautiful children, Carissa and Tyler. Some of the things I like to do are reading, getting outdoors and traveling.  My favorite time is when I’m with my loving family. I look forward to a wonderful year full of inspiration and to help you become the best you can be!

Introducing Mrs. Sourgoutsis: Hello!  I have been a teacher for 15 years at the wonderful Seaford Manor School.  I have experience in all grade levels. Teaching has been a passion since I can remember, and I am so lucky that I get to teach and help others every day.  My husband and I live in Bellmore and we just welcomed a beautiful baby boy, Christos, 8 months ago.   I love to cook, exercise, shop, and spend time with my family. I'm really looking forward to a great school year, meeting all of you, and watching you grow!

Due to limited space in the classroom, we are requesting that you only send in the following supplies on the first day of in-school. Please label all your child’s supplies with their name or initials.
